Description
Welcome to the Museo do Mar de Galicia, a place to understand the long historical link between Galicians and the sea through their use and knowledge.
Taking a tour of its rooms, visitors will learn about fishing activity in all its areas, as well as its development in the course of history: fishing, shellfish and aquaculture, conservation methods, from the primitive salty to the modern frozen, the technical advances in vessels or marine biology. The tour will be completed with a visit to the Museum's aquarium, where you can see the main ecosystems that lie between the Museum's own pier and the cliff coast of the Cíes Islands. Let's start a visit that will surely make the visitor feel a little more sailor from today.
