Description
The Fire Museum is officially called the Tokyo Fire Department Fire and Disaster Prevention Resource Center.
It was opened on December 3, 1992 as an advertising and educational center where one can fully understand fire fighting that promotes safety in Tokyo.
The museum has about 11,000 items, including firefighting-related materials and books, including nishiki-e (woodblock prints), tile plates, old documents, firefighting tools, and firefighting pumps from the Meiji period to the present. such as fire protective clothing and fire fighting equipment.
