Description
Enjoy the largest urban park in Vigo
The largest park in Vigo is Castrelos. Called Castrelis since the 13th century, it currently occupies 220,000 m². In addition to the pleasure of strolling along its trails, next to the Lagares river, the park is home to the Pazo Quiñones de León Museum. It is the typical Vigo place to celebrate civil weddings and offers visitors well-kept French and English-style gardens, full of the romanticism of bygone eras.
Castrelos is also a park for athletes: there is a route with markings for training and numerous routes for running. And it is also one of the best places in Vigo to go with children, thanks to its huge playground and its lake with ducks and swans.
Tips and recommendations:
The Castrelos Auditorium, a beautiful open-air amphitheater, is the epicenter of music in Vigo every summer: the most massive concerts in the city are organized here.
