About the Library

The John P Holt Brentwood Library is known as the Crown Jewel of our city. We hope you will become a member and take advantage of all the library's services. The library is situated in a beautiful park setting and bordered by a walking trail and arboretum.

Upon your arrival at the library, sign up for a library card. Every Brentwood, TN, resident or property-owner has free borrowing privileges. This library card is your key to enjoying all the library has to offer.

Your library card gives you access to over 165,000 books and other materials, including audiobooks, DVDs, music CDs and online resources. A large collection of newspapers and magazines is also available.

The Library also offers study rooms for small group sessions, a mid-size conference room, wireless internet service, and a large meeting facility for rent to clubs, businesses and community events hosted by Brentwood residents. Our staff of professionals stands ready to assist you with research questions. We can help at all levels -- students working on school assignments, business people gathering data, or home-mechanics finding repair manuals.

Story Time

Our pre-school story times are held four times each week. Each program last about 30 minutes and include stories, singing and crafts. The Brentwood Morning Rotary Club presents the program the first Saturday of the month while library staff presents the rest.

Group story time visits are welcome. Contact us at 615-371-0090 ext. 8380 to schedule a story time around the subject or theme your group is interested in.
